If you grew up in Pittsburgh, you have had this delicious combo of noodles, cabbage, onions, and butter. So simple, yet sooo delicious. We would always have this at Cheer Competitions growing up, and when I moved to Philly for a couple years – I was shocked when they didn’t serve it! LOL. We had leftover cabbage from the pierogie party , so I made some fresh pasta ( recipe in my blog 🙂 ), and added to it , and it was Heaven!
1/2 head cabbage
1 onion chopped into small pieces
2 sticks of butter
salt and pepper
2 cups fresh pasta , boiled to al dente
Brown onion and cabbage in butter until browned. Add noodles to pan and saute until just a little crispy. Enjoy!
