Oh Oh Oh How I love Thanksgiving!!  This was was extremely special to me because it was the first one held in my new house!  Here is a picture of my Dining Room Table – Complete with Bakerella’s Turkey Pops for each guest!  Me and My sister Nicole spent HOURS on those Cake Pops!!  I also posted a “few” of the things served at this year’s dinner.  If I included everything – I would have to start a new Blog!  Our menu included 2 turkeys ( one traditional, one grilled by my Uncle Gene ), whiskey glazed ham,  2 types of potatoes, 2 types of stuffing , 2 types of gravy, about 7 different veggies, and more desserts than one can even IMAGINE!

Here is the recipe I used for these delicious Sausage Balls and even MORE delicious Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce!

Honey Mustard Sauce

3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise (can substitute low-fat Miracle Whip salad dressing)
1/3 cup prepared mustard
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and mustard with wire whisk. Add honey, lemon juice, salt & pepper, stirring until well combined.

Sausage Balls:

  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 pound Hot Italian sausage
  • 10 oz. pack of shredded cheese (or just shred your own from a block of cheddar)

Directions:

Put everything in the bowl and mix. This is easiest to do with your hands though it feels pretty gross at this stage.

Roll the mixture into balls, a little smaller than golf balls.

Place the sausage balls on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degress F for about 20 minutes. The Bisquick balls should be lightly browned wtih the meat cooked through.
