We are MOVING – so that means stress stress stress, and having to use up everything in our freezer! Luckily I took a picture of this, because the next day my husband broke my camera ( LCD screen shattered ) while on a drunk fishing excursion in Cape May. Thanks Mike! Luckily for him my brand spanking new camera came in today 🙂
Anyways – I had some ground meat to use up, and since I don’t remember a day under 90 degrees here in Philly, I wanted to grill. So I found this recipe on Recipezaar.com , and it turned out great!
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- One egg
- panko/italian bread crumb mix
- lemon pepper grill seasoning blend
- one clove garlic chopped
Soak wooden skewers in warm water for 30 minutes.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Divide into 6 portions and shape around one end of a skewer in a log shape, about 1 inch thick and 6 inches long.
Grill over high heat, turning several times, for 10-15 minutes.
I served with some TJ’s Cucumber Dipping Sauce , Green Beans, and Near East Roasted Garlic Cous Cous. Very good – quick dinner/
