Margarita’s ! May 8, 2012

Got this recipe from Pinterest of course!  It was great!  Love making margaritas from scratch!  I lined the rim with a mixture of sugar, salt, and lime zest.  Here is a picture of my margarita station, and the finished product

1 can limeade

1 can tequila

1/2 can water

1/2 can 7 up

1/2 can countreau

1 bottle corona beer

juice of one lime

 

Fish Trap’s Coconut Lemonade June 2, 2009

Another St John Post – I know… I am obsessed! At The Fish Trap Restaraunt in St John, they make this delicious, refreshing drink with Cruzan Coconut Rum and Lemonade.  It is so good, it doesn’t taste like it has any alcohol in it at all – but it packs a STRONG punch! Just ask my neighbors who had to hear me, my sister and cousin dancing and singing like Lady Gaga and Beyonce on my deck after the Pens Game! LOL  I added Raspberry Vodka in it as well, and it was sooo delicious! My measurements are not exact as I used my Margaritaville Maker.  Fill up container with half Crystal Light Lemonade.  Then add 1/2 cup coconut rum and 1/2 cup raspberry vodka.  Enjoy and then dance around!

Let’s Go Pens!! White Sangria May 27, 2009

Since I KNEW the Pens were going to SWEEP the Hurricanes last night – I wanted a nice drink to go along with it.  I decided to make sangria , because I was just dying to drink something out of my new St John Wine Glass.  This was perfect – very refreshing, and it hit the spot!  Now I just need more recipes for drinks for the Stanley Cup!

1 Huge bottle white wine

Cup of grapes, cut up

1 apple cut up

1 lime cut up

1 lemon cut up

1/2 cup cointreau

1 cup sprite

Combine all ingredients and enjoy in your favorite wine glass

Strawberry Margaritas! April 18, 2009

GO TRY THIS RECIPE NOW!  Don’t wait for Cinco De Mayo – it is THAT good!  SOOO much better than the mix that comes out of the bottle – I made 3 pitchers of this for just me and Nicole last night! Beware… It is a little strong- but we needed it!  It was Friday and the Pens went into Overtime LOL.  This is from Guy Fieri – he sure knows how to make a mean drink!  Also – this little beauty ( aka my Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Concoction Maker ) is the best machine ever invented!  Cheers!

This makes one pitcher:

• 2 cups crushed ice
• 1/2 cup strawberry puree
• 1 cup tequila
• 2 limes, juiced
• Splash Triple Sec
• Splash Wildberry/Strawberry Liquor
• Splash simple syrup – (equal amounts sugar and water heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)

Directions

Combine in a blender, ice, strawberry water, tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec and simple syrup. Puree until smooth.

Jelly Bean Martini April 13, 2009

This was so perfect for the Easter Weekend!  First, I put lime green sugar on the rim of the glass, filled the bottom with Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans, then added Grape Vodka, with a splash of Cranberry and Sprite!  Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

My 100th Post!! December 30, 2008

I cannot believe this is my 100th post!  I remember when me and Nicole were talking about starting blogs, I never thought I would reach this mark!  What better way to honor this than to write about one of my favorite holiday drinks!  The Gingerbread Martini!!  This is my family’s after dinner treat on Christmas Eve – we drink it while cleaning up , then are just a little tipsy for gift opening LOL.  Mike also made Homemade Egg Nog, which was a hit as well, but I didn’t get a picture of it        * probably because of these martinis!  Ha!  I got this recipe from Sandra Lee:

1 ounce vanilla vodka

1 ounce hazelnut-flavored liqueur (recommended: Frangelico)

1/2 ounce butterscotch schnapps

Ice cubes

4 ounces ginger beer  – couldn’t find this, I used Ginger Ale

Gingerbread man cookies,  blended in food processor and placed along rim of martini glass 

Jewel Punch November 4, 2008

For the BIG MONDAY NIGHT  Steeler / Redskins game last night and made this drink – it was very refreshing, and would be great in the summer! I got it from Rachael Ray’s magazine.  GO STEELERS!!

1 liter ginger ale, chilled   Three 12-ounce bags frozen cherries   1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced   3 cups purple grape juice, chilled       1 1/2 cups vodka   1/4 cup Cointreau or triple sec   Ice, for serving

1. Combine the ginger ale, cherries, strawberries, grape juice, vodka and Cointreau in a punch bowl or large pitcher and stir well. Pour into ice-filled glasses.
